UPP stands for the United Progressive Party. We are a people-first political movement focused on empowering communities, driving innovation, and restoring transparency and integrity in public leadership across Barbados.
We believe in progress over promises, and action over noise. UPP is not built on political legacy or loyalty, but on real leadership, community input, and a forward-thinking agenda that places the people at the center of national transformation.
Yes. UPP was formed in 2017 as an alternative to traditional political parties. After a period of realignment and strategic development, we are relaunching with a new generation of leaders, including youth voices, professionals, and everyday citizens who care deeply about Barbados’ future.
The party is led by a dedicated executive committee, including our Public Relations Officer, Mr. Everton “Heru” Holligan. We are actively building a diverse team of candidates and leaders committed to the party’s mission and values.
You can volunteer, represent your constituency, or support the movement in many ways. Visit our Join the Movement page or email us at info@uppbarbados.org to get started.
Absolutely. We’re looking for passionate Barbadians who want to make a difference in their communities. If you believe in our mission and values, head to our “Represent Your Constituency” section to submit your expression of interest.
Yes! Youth are at the heart of our vision. We believe the next generation must not only be seen but heard. We provide opportunities for young people to lead, shape policy, and create impact.
UPP is an independent Barbadian political party. While we collaborate with like-minded organizations for development and knowledge sharing, we are fully committed to Barbados and our local communities.
Zero tolerance. We believe leadership must be accountable to the people. UPP advocates for stronger oversight, open governance, and community-first budgeting and decision-making.
We are powered by grassroots support. This includes donations from everyday citizens, volunteers, and members. We do not rely on big corporate sponsorships or special interest money.
Of course. You can share our content, attend events, donate, or simply help spread the word. Every voice and every action counts.
